3 Options for Employees Weight Management Programs Choose from our top three weight management programs to help your employees make lasting lifestyle and weight management changes in 2020.
Weight Management Program Options:
1) S.H.A.P.E. Weight Management Program (12 weeks): Stands for Support Healthy Eating And Promote Exercise, and is led by a trained nutrition professional skilled in weight management and behavior change strategies. A cognitive and behavioral approach to weight management is taught to improve participants’ well-being by helping them shift the way they think about nutrition, physical activity and their weight.
2) Strong Bodies (10 weeks): Strength training is important for almost any fitness goal. Each week, participants learn an “exercise of the week,” plus workout tips to achieve their fitness goals. After 10 weeks, all exercises can be combined into a complete workout routine!
3) Slim Down Challenge (12 weeks): Move over Biggest Loser, there’s a new challenge in town! The goal of this program is losing weight, either as individuals or teams. Each individual or team is weighed confidentially on the first and last day of the challenge and percent of change is calculated. At the final weigh-in, the greatest percentage of weight loss wins! You can also offer bonus points for completing a weekly food log, or attending a nutrition seminar or group exercise class.
